How to use the Seating Plan Wheel
Reshuffling seats each term breaks up settled friendship clusters and moves the students who have quietly colonised the back row. Doing it by wheel makes it visibly impersonal.
- Spin the student list against these zones rather than the other way round.
- Fix any seats you need to control for access or behaviour before you start, and just spin the rest.
- Do it on the first day of a unit, not mid-way — the disruption is worth it far less in week three.
